                  Michael Worpell, DPM

    Mike grew up in the Detroit area. He received his bachelor's degree from Albion College and did graduate work in exercise physiology at Wayne State University.

    He attended the William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine from 1983 to 1987 and completed his residency at Grandview Hospital in Ironwood, Michigan.

    Mike is currently board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

    Some of Mike’s affiliations are: Fellow, American College of Foot Surgeons; Member, American Podiatric Medical Association and Indiana Podiatric Medical Association; active staff at Parkview North Hospital, Parkview Hospital, DuPont Hospital, Lutheran Hospital, and St. Joseph Hospital in Ft. Wayne.

    Mike has a history of accomplishments as a member of the Washington State Podiatric Medical Association, including: President from1997 to 1999, Board of Trustees from 1995 to 2001; Podiatric Physician of the Year from 1995 to 1996, Insurance Committee Chair from 1995 to 1997, Annual Scientific Seminar Chair from 1990 to 2002, and congressional lobbyist from 1995 to 2000. He also represented the Washington State Podiatric Medical Association on the Board of Trustees for International Region VII Podiatry Association from 1997 to 2002.

    Mike has been married for 15 years and has two children. He enjoys skiing and golf, and is a member of the local country club. He has been the owner/physician of the Kitsap Foot and Ankle Clinic in Bremerton, Washington from 1988 to 2002 and Northeast Foot and Ankle Clinic in Ft. Wayne, Indiana from 2002 to present.
